The SAFE project, Stop the Violations of Endangered Wildlife in Spain, from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), has won the National Award for Scientific Dissemination and Citizen Science from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in the citizen science category, dedicated to initiatives in which the public participates in any phase of research, such as the proposal, data collection, decision-making, or dissemination of results. The jury highlighted its innovative nature, the solidity of its scientific objectives, and the high quality of its working methodology and open access.
